Project 1
Diagramming Architectural Principles
This task would teach us how to abstract and simplify an idea so that it is easily understood, which is a key step in the process of diagramming architectural ideas. From determining design ideas to producing architectural pieces, we must research how architecture and environments are made.
Project 2
Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality Tropical Rainforest Discovery Platform
To create a meaningful gesture of architectural spaces, we had to explore our conceptual and operational processes using the architectural idea from the first assignment. We would need to define the architectural principles we have chosen. In order to create spaces and create forms, we were forced to investigate the potential implications and meanings of these architectural principles.
Project 3
Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality + Context + User: Tropical Wildlife Discovery Unit
At Bukit Jalil Recreational Park, students were required to create a Tropical Wildlife Discovery Unit. An observation unit is a building located in the middle of a tropical forest for the purpose of observing the "fauna" there. This learning unit should also feature a tropical rainforest discovery area with enough built-up room for resting, talking, and other activities. The building should have a built-up area of no more than 100 square meters and be adequate to house two persons.
